Yushizuku Washi Lamp: Myaku — A Hot Spring of Light on Driftwood

Myaku is a special lamp in the Yushizuku series, created on a piece of driftwood whose naturally formed shape has been carefully preserved as a base. Featuring three individual

Yushizuku lamps on a single piece of driftwood, Myaku is the truly deluxe version of the Yushizuku series.

Each Yushizuku lamp has its own name and individual form. Every piece is shaped by hand to reveal the natural character of the fibers, so no two lamps are ever exactly alike.

Myaku brings together delicate kozo fibers and driftwood shaped by nature over many years. Because the form, grain, and markings of every piece of driftwood are different, the entire lamp becomes a small, one-of-a-kind landscape.

Myaku can be enjoyed in different places throughout your home. It also makes a distinctive and memorable gift for someone special.

When the included rechargeable LED tea lights are illuminated, the overlapping, lace-like fibers gently emerge, creating a small “Hot Spring of Light” upon the driftwood. The warm glow filters softly through the natural fibers, bringing a quiet moment of comfort wherever the lamp is placed.

Myaku is made from rare kozo fibers—the natural material traditionally used to make Japanese washi. Instead of forming the fibers into a conventional sheet of paper, their delicate natural structure and individual character are preserved within the lamp.

Because Myaku is made from light and delicate natural fibers, please touch and handle it gently. That small act of care becomes part of the experience of living with Myaku.
