Craft your own mini washi lamp beneath a massive washi lamp "canopy" masterpiece. Work with the highest quality materials and create your own one-of-a-kind "hotspring of light."

ユネスコ無形文化遺産にも登録された、岐阜県美濃市の最高級「美濃和紙」を使用します。
20年のキャリアを持つ和紙ランプのプロによる指導のもと、自分だけのミニ和紙ランプを制作。完成した作品は、その日のうちにお持ち帰りいただけます。
You will work with high quality washi from Mino, Gifu, Japan – a city which received a UNESCO Intangigle Culture Heritage award recognizing its washi making process.
Under the guidance of a 20-year washi lamp pro, you will build your own mini washi lamp to take home the same day!

MEET THE MASTER
受賞歴を持つ和紙ランプアーティスト、ジェームス・チャペルは、20年のキャリアを誇るハイエンドな和紙照明の第一人者です。梅田の阪急百貨店でのワークショップ講師を経て、現在は天保山で独自のスタジオを構えています。
2001年に日本初のボディペインティング会社を設立し、ユニバーサル・スタジオ・ジャパンとも契約。その後、その技術を新たな素材と目的へと昇華させました。和紙と独特の曲線美を融合させ、家庭に「光の温泉」を届ける作品を制作しています。
Award-winning washi lamp artist, James Chappell is a high-end washi lamp artist with 20 years of experience. He taught workshops at Hankyu Department Store in Umeda, and now runs a unique studio in Tempozan.
James opened the first body painting company in Japan in 2001, contracting with Universal Studios before moving on and transferring his skills to a new medium and purpose – using washi and unique, curviliener shapes to create a "hotspring of light" for the home.
Paper Lamps vs Washi Lamps
和紙は1,500年以上の深く豊かな歴史を持っています。伝統的な技法の中には、繊維を確実に結合させるために、雪解け水のみを使用するものもあります。こうした細部へのこだわりが、和紙そのものの美しさと職人技を際立たせる芸術作品へと、職人たちを突き動かしてきました。
一方で、アメリカのペーパーランプは素材そのものよりも、全体のフォルム（形状）に重点を置く傾向があります。
人生の半分をアメリカ、半分を日本で過ごしてきたジェームスは、これら二つの文化的な美学の融合を目指しています。ボディペインターとしてのキャリアから着想を得た有機的なフォルムを作り上げると同時に、「和紙」が持つ驚くべき特質を最大限に引き出すことにも同等の情熱を注いでいます。
Japanese paper, or "washi", has a deep, rich history of 1500+ years. Some of the traditional methods include only using melted snow water, to ensure the fibers properly bond together. Such attention to detail compels washi artisans to create art that highlights the beauty and craftsmanship of the paper itself.
American paper lamps, however, focus less on the material itself, and more on the overall shape.
Having spent half his life in American and half in Japan, James seeks to blend the two cultural aesthetics, creating organic shapes inspired from his career as a body painter, while placing equal emphasis on highlighting the amazing qualities of "washi".

JeBon（ジェーボン）では、お客様一人ひとりのために高品質な材料（LEDキットや手漉き和紙など）を事前に準備し、お席を確保しております。少人数制の工房のため、下記の規定にご理解とご協力をお願いいたします。
【お支払い方法】

海外からお越しのお客様（訪日観光客）： 予約確定時にSquare（スクエア）経由の決済リンクをお送りします。クレジットカードによる全額事前払いをお願いしております。

日本国内在住のお客様： 当日の現地払い（現金・クレジットカード・電子マネー）、またはSquareによる事前払いのいずれかをお選びいただけます。
【キャンセル料規定】

ご予約の48時間前まで： 全額返金いたします。

ご予約の48時間以内： * 海外からお越しのお客様： 事前にお支払いいただいた料金の50%を返金いたします（材料費および予約枠確保のため）。

国内在住のお客様： 体験料金の50%をキャンセル料として申し受けます。

Cancellation & Payment Policy
At JeBon, we prepare high-quality materials (LED kits, handmade washi, etc.) specifically for each guest and hold your private time slot exclusively for you. As we are a small artisanal studio, we appreciate your cooperation with the following policy:
【Payment Methods】

International Visitors: We require full pre-payment via credit card. A secure Square payment link will be sent to you once your booking inquiry is confirmed.

Residents of Japan: You may choose to pay in advance via Square or pay on the day of your experience (Cash, Credit Card, or IC Card).
【Cancellation Fees】

Up to 48 hours before: Full refund.

Within 48 hours: * International Visitors: A 50% refund will be issued. The remaining 50% is retained to cover material preparation and the reserved private time slot.

Residents of Japan: A cancellation fee of 50% of the total experience cost will apply.

No-show: Non-refundable.

Rescheduling: If you need to change your date or time, please email us directly. We will do our best to accommodate your request based on availability.

Late Arrivals: If you are more than 15 minutes late, your session may be shortened to ensure we remain on schedule for subsequent bookings.
