作品の背景と素材
「海紋（かいもん）」は、数々の賞を受賞したアーティスト、ジェームズの手によって一つひとつ制作されたコードレスランプです。
 
素材には、ユネスコ無形文化遺産にも登録されている伝統的な和紙づくりの技術によって生み出された、岐阜県産の高品質な美濃和紙を使用しています。
 
天然の楮（こうぞ）の内皮から作られた和紙を幾重にも丁寧に重ね、オールドゴールドの和紙染料と黒色の液体ゴムで仕上げることで、手仕事ならではの有機的で豊かな表情を生み出しています。

Artist’s Concept and Materials
Kaimon (Sea Ripple) is a cordless masterpiece individually handcrafted by award-winning artist James.
 
It is made using high-quality Mino Washi from Gifu Prefecture, produced through traditional Japanese papermaking techniques recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.
 
By carefully layering Washi made from the inner bark fibers of the Kozo mulberry tree and finishing it with Old Gold Washi dye and black liquid rubber, James creates a rich, organic surface with a character unique to each lamp.
 
Experience the “Hot Spring of Light”
To fully experience the lamp’s gentle warmth, dim the other lights in the room and allow the surrounding space to become dark.
 
In the stillness, Kaimon emits a soft, calming glow reminiscent of the deep comfort of soaking in a Japanese onsen.
