Shaa（シャーちゃん）は、細長いサボテンの芯を台座に仕立てた、和紙照明「湯しずく」シリーズのひとつです。
 
「湯しずく」は、一つひとつに異なる名前と形を持つ、小さな手づくりの和紙照明シリーズ。自然の繊維が生み出す表情を生かしながら、一点ずつ形をつくっているため、同じ作品は二つとありません。
 
ほかの湯しずくが丸い木製台座や流木の上に仕立てられているのに対し、Shaaには縦に伸びるサボテンの芯を使用しています。その細長いシルエットにより、湯しずくシリーズの中で最も背の高い、ひときわ印象的な作品となっています。
 
繊細に重なる楮の繊維と、自然がつくり出したサボテンの芯。それぞれ異なる表情を持つ二つの素材が組み合わさり、世界に一つだけの小さな風景を生み出しています。
 
細身で持ち運びやすく、ご自宅のさまざまな場所で楽しめるほか、大切な方への個性的で心に残る贈り物にもおすすめです。
 
付属の充電式LEDティーライトを灯すと、レースのように重なり合う繊維がやさしく浮かび上がり、サボテンの芯の上に、背の高い小さな「光の温泉」が生まれます。

Yushizuku Washi Lamp: Shaa — A Tall Hot Spring of Light on Cactus Core
 
Shaa is one of the small handcrafted lamps in the Yushizuku series, created on a long, slender cactus-core base.
 
Each Yushizuku lamp has its own name and individual form. Every piece is shaped by hand to reveal the natural character of the fibers, so no two lamps are ever exactly alike.
 
While other Yushizuku lamps are created on round wooden or driftwood bases, Shaa rises from a tall cactus core. Its elongated silhouette makes it the tallest lamp in the Yushizuku series and gives it a particularly distinctive presence.
 
Delicate layers of kozo fibers meet the naturally formed structure of the cactus core. These two contrasting natural materials come together to create a small, one-of-a-kind landscape.
 
Slender and easy to carry, Shaa can be enjoyed in different places throughout your home. It also makes a distinctive and memorable gift for someone special.
 
When one of the included rechargeable LED tea lights is illuminated, the overlapping, lace-like fibers gently emerge, creating a small, tall “Hot Spring of Light” above the cactus core.
 
The warm glow filters softly through the natural fibers, bringing a quiet moment of comfort wherever the lamp is placed.
 
Shaa is made from rare kozo fibers—the natural material traditionally used to make Japanese washi. Instead of forming the fibers into a conventional sheet of paper, their delicate natural structure and individual character are preserved within the lamp.
